Bridal Inspiration Aditi Rao Hydari as a South Indian bride
A classic South Indian bride, radiant in a beige lehenga and traditional jewellery, Aditi Rao Hydari stole hearts at her wedding to Sidharth. Close family attended the temple wedding in Wanaparthi, a temple which has deep emotional value to the bride, who comes from the royal lineage of the place.
Elegant in her beige and gold lehenga and a zari striped blouse, Aditi wore jasmine flowers in her hair, a gold and ruby jhumka, a simple choker and gold bangles, all from the Sabyasachi collection. A quintessential Sabyasachi ensemble, the lehenga was designed in handwoven Maheshwari tissue and paired with a Benarasi tissue dupatta. This rare and beautiful piece was picked from Sabyasachi heritage collection. Siddharth too wore a beige Sabysachi silk kurta with a handwoven Benarasi dhoti, and a veshti.
The bride has often mentioned her penchant for traditional Indian sarees at various previous occasions. She claims she inherited her love of handlooms from her mother and grandmother, who are patrons of traditional weaves. She likes to pair her traditional sarees with vintage or temple jewellery, and her wedding attire reflects her unique sensibilties.
Aditi kept to simplicity in her looks as well. She wore minimal make up and opted for a fresh face look, a little mascara, some rouge and a pink lip shade. She wore her hair with center parting and added jasmine flowers, a look favoured by most South Indian brides for the traditional ceremonies. Her unconventional half moon alta on her palm and her feet added to the rich romantic vibe of the early morning wedding.
Less is truly more.
